How does Warwick support students?
The wellbeing of our students is hugely important. We can support you practically, emotionally and spiritually, throughout your student journey. Whether you are looking for advice about academic issues or need support with something else, you will find help in easy reach.
Our comprehensive support services enable you to engage in person, but we also provide many opportunities to find support online, if that's what you prefer.
Top places you can get support
Your wellbeing
Wellbeing Support Services help you develop the personal resources and skills to navigate student life. We provide a range of support, from self-help resources to email counselling and therapy groups.
Accommodation support
When you live on campus, our Residential Community Team will live alongside you. They will be there to chat to or help you adjust to living away from home and getting the balance right between social and academic life.
Academic support
You will have a personal tutor within your academic department.
They will be available for regular catch-ups to discuss your progress and any questions you may have. They can offer advice on course topics and some academic writing support.
For more personal issues, the personal tutor system is closely linked with Wellbeing Support Services.
Immigration advice
If you are an international student and require a visa to study in the UK, we provide specialist immigration advice for University of Warwick offer holders, current students and recent graduates.
Advice includes guidance on initial visa applications, help with your Right to Study throughout your course, and advice on your right to work in the UK during and after your studies.

Our Community Safety Team are available to protect the wellbeing of our staff and students 24/7, 365 days a year. They can provide general help as well as an emergency response, and offer useful advice on how to stay safe both on and off campus.
Disabilities
We have a specialist team to provide support and advice with managing the impact of a disability or long-term health condition. This can include specific learning differences, mental health, autism spectrum and many others.
Our blogger Nilusha Perera made a video about her experience of accessing support with a disability.
